Early Life

Sarah began her acting career at age 4 when she was discovered by an agent while eating at a local restaurant. Three weeks later she was on the set of her first film, An Invasion of Privacy. She did many commercials for Burger King, even one which led to her getting sued my McDonalds at age 5. "All 5 year olds have their birthday parties at McDonalds, and I could never go because I wasn't allowed in McDonalds." Sarah comments. She also did commercials for shake n bake chicken. "I must've eaten 99 pieces of chicken for shake n bake." she says.

Teenage Years

Contrary to popular belief that all stars were super popular in school, Sarah was more of the outcast. She would have to skip school for months at a time to film a show or a movie, and when she returned, she had to try to fit in again. Sarah's first movie was "An Invasion of Privacy" at age 4. Other movies include a TV mini-series called "A Woman Named Jackie", where she played a young Jackie Kennedy. She was also a regular host on the teen talk show "Girl Talk". Sarah's first series on television was the short lived "Swan's Crossing", in which she played a posh high school girl.

In 1993, Sarah began on the daytime soap All My Children, in which she played Kendall Hart, the devious daughter of Susan Lucci. Sarah won a daytime emmy for her role, and announced the next day that she was leaving the show.

Present

In 1996, while auditioning for the role of Cordelia on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the casting director saw her and suggested she audition for Buffy. She did, and the rest is history.

For 3 incredible seasons, Buffy The Vampire Slayer has rocked the air waves, boosting the WB's ratings above NBC and CBS. BTVS has become the WB's biggest hit. "Back when I was a young girl, we didn't have strong female types, and with Buffy, the girls have someone to look up to and make them feel strong and powerful" says Sarah.

In the period of time between shooting BTVS, Sarah always manages to star in a movie or two. She starred in 2 movies on her off time between episode tapings (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2) and making another 2 that were released in 1999 (Simply Irresistable, Cruel Intentions), not to mention her surprise cameo in She's All That.
